WITHIN THE  MARGINS  OF  STRENGTH
If we live under a handicap -- and who of us does not live under a handicap of some kind -- let us not pity ourselves. The tragedy is not to be found in the handicap, but rather in our inability to live within the margins of our strength. Even within our limitations there is an opportunity to improve ourselves and to find contentment. We should not be dissatisfied with what we have not, but rejoice with what we have, lest even that which we have be taken from us. The secret of rising above rather than being defeated by our handicaps, of being victors instead victims of circumstance, is to be found not in rebellion but in adapting ourselves to circumstances and in making the most of situations that confront us.
